Basilisk:The Last Eskrimador

Basilisk: The Last Eskrimador, Original Character Concept. An idea starting off as a correction on how Night Wing from Batman should hold his Kali/Escrima sticks. Then thought...wait a minute, why not create an original Superhero steeped in Filipino Martial Arts created from influential artifacts from history and lore, to create an original story. Influences for the armor came from inspiration from Iron Man, Guyver, the Basilisk from the MMORPG Tera Online.
I'm still an Old Skool illustrator so I used straight up mechanical pencil for the initial drawing, then made a few copies of the original to play with color concepts which I use Prisma Color Markers on.(Love the Prisma Color!) It'll be a while before I get more drawings done for this character, gonna be focusing on my Rogue Scarecrow Character for a bit to get the ball rolling on additional character creation so I can start telling his story sometime this century. LOL.
